I have been in contact with marv, only a 10” L7T in a ported enclosure will fit, not enough cubic feet for a 12”. If you like it this much with one sub, and I want to do 2 of them, it should blow me out lol. Thanks for the reply. Copyright and Trademark Notice. Oh! Update: I discovered a company that makes the sub box I was thinking of: Has anyone had any experience with the new Kicker L7T subwoofers yet in their Tacoma Double Cabs? Innovation is the secret sauce! Loaded with nickel-plated terminals, the L7T features standard dual-voice-coil design, so you always get the most out of your amp. I'm looking for a bit more output than what I have now and going to go with 2 12" Kicker L7T's sealed. I was going to do 2 i inch versions but I think I am leaning toward the L7T now. This underseat 10 seems fairly new. I wish the 10" would fit without destroying the bin, but that's not possible. A next-level top-plate design, unique heat management system and our signature cone stitching all help to give you deep bass and outstanding reliability in a single, mind-blowing design that gives you max output! The 12 is probably the best cost to benefit ratio of them all but its definitely really big that area of our trucks. I'm curious. Covered in stylish black carpeting and built with thick MDF construction, these sturdy enclosures take some serious power, yet easily fit under your seat. The square cousin to the CompRT subwoofer, the L7T fits under your seat or in a corner of your trunk with ease. I'm going another route in my SuperCrew F150 and due to underseat space limitations, I'm limited with sub choice. I need to cut my shelves out still also. While it is miles better than the OEM sub, this is my first ever 8” sub (and first junk box as the OEM is), and it’s just not enough. Anyway, for $250, I think it fits great. There is access to the hooks if that's something you want to keep, btw. You'll have to put a little something against the front edge of the storage bin, the speaker surround is right on it. You consent to our cookies if you continue to use this website. If you could find a spare or are willing to cut the front and bottom of the bin out, the 10 would or maaaaybe the 12 would fit. I have an L7 8" sitting in the garage at the moment, along with a mountain of other stuff including the new kicker key 500.1. I forgot to get back about it, I'm sorry! I’ve decided to build my first fiberglass box and install a Kicker L7T 10” solobaric sub under the drivers back seat. Oh really (regarding seatbelt)... with my tax money coming I was going to do two 8's of the ones you have with the radiator or two L7T 8's. Plus it would eat up the entire area behind the back seat with no room for an amp. I think 2 8's would be plenty...hell one 8 probably will be. The L7 8 does fit as Destin stated, I had to razor out the rib in the middle of the bin (non-jbl) but it fits decently. I have a grill on the way so I won't be worried about woofer excursion. I have the comprt 10 with passive radiator now behind the passenger seat in the bin (with some modifications) and it is great with kick drum, rock, and some bass heavy songs with an alpine 500 watt amp, but like anything else would like more output. KICKER acoustic engineers worked feverishly, determined to put the largest voice coil and magnet we’ve ever integrated into a thin sub. All rights reserved.
